Papercuts by Lauren Simmonds

Papercuts is a series of hand-cut and folded paper works which when unfurl appear to bloom from the walls, roof, and floor in a manner both dreamy and playful. Inspired by patterns in nature, such as symmetrical botanical and anatomical forms, to Rorscharch patterns.

The works can be installed across walls, ceilings and freestanding structures on the floor, plinths and tables. The number of paper sculptures produced can be scaled and configured to suit different contexts, with colour and material variations developed in response to the event context.
